In 2012 I came across an excellent app in the Mac App Store called Pixelmator, which is described by its developer as a

Beautifully designed, easy-to-use, fast, and powerful image editing app for the Mac

Pixelmator has become my primary image editing app, and sits with Aperture at the core of my photography workflow.

Today Pixelmator teased version 2.2, which it refers to as BlueBerry”. In their blog post, the Pixelmator team show a video with a peek at a new feature called Convert Text into Shape.

I love Pixelmator, and recommend all Mac using photographers give it a try.
